The Stager’s Ledger

Terms

A licence from Blyth Brook Industries Inc., an Ontario corporation (number 002860342, HST 782838106RT0001). These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply here. The courts of Ontario hear disputes.

What you are buying

A solo licence for The Stager’s Ledger: a one-time purchase of $299 US, plus applicable Canadian sales tax, for one stager. It does not expire, it does not renew, and no card is kept on file after Stripe has taken the payment. The $299 is the price before tax. When the billing address is in Canada, Stripe adds GST or HST on top: 13% HST in Ontario, and the provincial GST or HST it calculates for the other provinces. A buyer outside Canada pays $299 US unless Stripe Tax has a registration that applies there.

The licence is for the devices you use yourself — a laptop, a phone, a tablet. Each device keeps its own copy of your records. They do not sync with each other. Moving a catalogue is a backup file from Settings, restored on the other device. The licence is not a seat for a second person, and it is not a right to share the key with another business. Please don’t resell it or rent the software out.

The key has your business name on it. That name is shown in the app. The app checks the key on the device and does not contact us to do it.

The trial

You can use the whole app for 15 days without a key, a card, or an email address. After that the app becomes read-only: everything you catalogued stays visible, searchable and printable, and new changes wait until a key is added. We do not lock you out of your own records, and we do not hold them — they were never on our servers.

What this edition is

It keeps track of pieces, jobs, lockers and photographs, and it tells you when two jobs want the same piece. It runs in the browser, including with no internet connection.

It does not scan barcodes, print labels, write proposals or contracts, invoice, or talk to QuickBooks. Those are not in this edition, and a switch in Settings does not add them. It is not a design tool.

The software is provided as it is. We work on it, and we will tell you plainly when something is missing, but we do not promise that it will meet a need it does not claim to meet. Where the law does not allow a limit on liability, that limit does not apply. Where it does, our liability for a licence is the amount you paid for it.

Your records

You own the inventory you enter. It stays on the device you entered it on. We have no copy of it, so we cannot restore it and a second device will not pick it up by itself. Export a backup from Settings when the catalogue matters, keep the file somewhere else, and restore it on the device you want it on.

Refunds

You can ask for the money back within 14 days of paying. How that works, and what happens to the key, is on the refund page.
